Ground Control – Starlight for modern spaces
The Ground Control collection, created by renowned design duo BCXSY (Boaz Cohen & Sayaka Yamamoto), pays homage to the combination of supreme craftsmanship and visionary design. Inspired by the iconic chandeliers of the Metropolitan Opera in New York (1966) and the vastness of the cosmos, this series brings a touch of "stardust" directly into your home.
 
Design & inspiration
The five models in the series translate the opulent aesthetics of classic crystal chandeliers into a minimalist, portable form. Hand-cut crystals serve as radiant diffusers that refract the light and create fascinating reflections without causing glare.


Innovation meets mobility
Ground Control is Lobmeyr's first wireless, battery-powered lighting series. It was developed to provide light wherever it is needed:
 Flexibility: Whether as atmospheric lighting on the dining table, as an accent in the garden or as an elegant night light.
 
 
 Lighting technology: Equipped with modern LED technology (2,400 K warm white) and three dimming levels for the perfect atmosphere.
 
 
Performance: The rechargeable battery offers a lighting duration of 8 to 30 hours (in energy-saving mode).
 
 
 Dual use: The wireless Horizon charger transforms this mobile art object into a stationary light source in no time at all.
 
 
Materiality & craftsmanship
Each table lamp is handmade in Lobmeyr's Vienna workshops. The brushed brass housing (finish: French gold) emphasises its luxurious character. Even when switched off, the lamps function as sculptural decorative objects that capture the ambient light in their prisms.
