The "Out Of Order" fibre pattern pendant light is an extremely light, cylindrical construction made of industrially wound yarn fibres reinforced with resin. This extraordinary design looks like a three-dimensional work of linear art that appears to float in space.
At first glance, the pattern appears ordered, but a closer look reveals deliberately distorted lines - the result of the robot's innovative programme changes during yarn winding. This unpredictable, interwoven pattern creates a fascinating optical illusion and turns each lamp into a unique work of art.
The OOO Black is the result of a collaboration between the interdisciplinary design studio BCXSY from Amsterdam and Atelier Robotiq in Rotterdam.

The OOO Black is an iconic light object from the Out Of Order series that combines robot-assisted manufacturing with artistic irregularity. Its cylindrical housing is made of industrial yarn that is wound around a mould by a robot arm and fixed with resin. The result is a three-dimensional line structure that appears to float in space.
What initially appears to be an orderly pattern reveals, on closer inspection, deliberate disturbances caused by programmed deviations in the winding process – each luminaire thus becomes a unique piece with a hypnotic effect. The Black variant combines this structure with a deep black finish that unites elegance and technical precision.
The collection was created in collaboration between the Amsterdam studio BCXSY and the Rotterdam studio Robotiq, which fuse technology and craftsmanship to create a new expression of lighting design.
